Richard Niman
August 27th -30st
Rather than write a meandering, art-speak, gobbledegook text he prefers to let his art works speak for themselves. He sees himself as an old fashioned modernist who believes that visual fine art is primarily a visual affair. He begins by playing with forms, colors, space and images. Whatever text and words that may arise, flows from the visual things he has initially made - rather than the other way round. For him there is such a thing as visual language, which exists much in its own right as verbal language. Sometimes, rather inadequate verbal translations can be made but that is all they are.
